My Background & Specialisation:
Having grown up as a third-culture child, I am deeply attuned to the emotional and relational challenges faced when adapting to new environments. The process of transition often leads individuals to overextend themselves, suppressing parts of their authentic selves in an effort to fit in or survive. My academic training and professional expertise in inner child work have allowed me to specialise in addressing attachment-related traumas, managing stress related to work and studies, and guiding third-culture individuals, expatriates, and students through the complexities of transition and adjustment. With a foundation rooted in empathy and compassion, my integrative approach helps clients struggling with anxiety and depression to better understand their emotional needs, heal internal conflicts, and cultivate inner harmony.
My Approach in Therapy:
In therapy, I prioritise cultivating a genuine and authentic therapeutic relationship with you, recognising it as the foundation for meaningful healing and achieving your treatment goals. I am committed to creating a non-directive and non-judgmental environment that nurtures emotional freedom, creativity, and comfort. Your input is essential to me, as it allows us to collaboratively adapt the process to best meet your unique needs.
My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), emphasising the importance of connecting with your emotions and innate capacity for resilience, healing, and self-compassion. I often integrate inner child work techniques to help you explore and heal unresolved experiences, transforming emotional pain into empowerment and deeper connection. Additionally, I draw on methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to tailor our work to your individual journey and goals.
My Qualifications:
Master of Counselling
Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology
Bachelor of Science Psychology (with Distinction)
Registered Clinical Member with the Singapore Association for Counselling, RC Number: C0865
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy with AEDP Institute (ongoing)
